Board rules

These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on Motorsport Club of Ottawa. They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.

  1. Users should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning. If you note a questionable post, please bring it to the attention of a member of the Moderator Team by using the “post report” feature to report posts. #
  2. Users should remember this board is aimed at a general audience and the content of this forum reflects on the Motorsport Club of Ottawa, its members, and its supporters. Posting inappropriate offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated. #
  3. Posts are to be made in the relevant forum. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting. Users consistently posting to the wrong forum may be given a warning. #
  4. Please refrain from posting the same topic in multiple areas of the forum. Duplicate posts will be deleted, leaving only the one that is placed in the appropriate sub-forum. #
  5. Users are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. #
  6. The above forum rules where applicable also apply to private messaging. Abuse of the private messaging system may lead to warnings (as above) and/or the revocation of private messaging. #
  7. The Motorsport Club of Ottawa puts a great deal of value on it sponsors. Disrespectful or disparaging comments about Sponsors will not be tolerated. Service issues with sponsors should be discussed in private. #
  8. The moderating, support and other teams reserve the right to edit, remove or put on moderation queue any post at any time. The determination of what is construed as inappropriate, vulgar, spam, etc. is up to the Motorsport Club of Ottawa's forum administration team members, not users of the forum, regardless of their membership status in MCO. #
  9. New Accounts will face restrictions on their activity until they are verified as not being spam bots (one legitimate post is sufficient evidence). At that time, all restrictions will be removed. #
  10. Accounts showing no activity in the last 2 years will be automatically removed. #
