1992 Turbo Miata - SOLD

Postby toysrus » Wed Sep 22, 2010 4:12 pm

SOLD!

Wedding costs are soaring WAAAY out of control and I am forced to sell the fun stuff
Car is in amazing structural shape with no rust. the original paint is showing its age and is of the "good from far but far from good" quality. The previous owner spared no expense in modifying this car and he proved it with over $15,000 in receipts from Flyin Miata. Part of the upgrades include:
Aluminium Oil Cooler
1.8 LSD Upgrade
1.8 Brake Upgrade
Momo Tuner Steering Wheel & Hub
FM2 Turbo Kit with Link ECU
FM Stage 2.5 Suspension Setup- springs, adjustable front and rear sway bars + adj shocks
FM Happy Meal Clutch (ACT clutch)
FM Turbo Exhaust
FM Catalytic Converter
Hard Dog M1 Hard Core Hardtop Double-diagonal Rollbar (black colour)
Willans Six-points Harnesses with shoulder pads (red colour)
KOYO 55mm R1139 Aluminum High Performance Radiator

The car drives and handles better than new and should be good for at least 225whp with the proper tuning
Car will be sold with the original, unmodified trunk lid WITHOUT the wing The price also does not include the RPF01's...the stock rims with all seasons are included

Honestly - I don't quite fit in the one I have... so i really need to find something bigger and S2000 / Porsche 911 ( with sun roof ) aren't any bigger.

Boxter maybe - but they have two serious issues - RMS ( rear main seal leaks ) IMS ( intermediate shaft bearing failure :o )
I've played engine swap once already ... I don;t like that game.

So what accommodates taller humans, Z3 / Z4 ( more BMW technology  ) no thanks...
And older Beamer / Vette / Mustang :)

Lotus Elise. Fits me just fine AND I don't need to push the seat all the way back.

Bimmers of course. Everyone should have at least one of those.

Vettes are spendy on consumables.

Don, you sure you don't fit in an S2000? It's a much bigger car than a Miata.

Loti are around 30 ( and I'm cheap ) I've spotted a Bimmer or two i'm looking into at.
Vettes ah... a big fat Miata... I don't know if I could do it.

I sat in Brian's S2000 and it may be longer leg wise but not height wise... I couldn't wear a helmet with the roof closed - which means no roll bar, = No track days

Was the oem plate mount and bolts pushing into the bumper cover. Typical of Miatas, but this one was a bit worse than others. Usually 2 small dimples.

What happened to that front bumper?

OK, this is my last attempt to give someone a crazy car at a crazy price.....
$5900, stock daisy wheels, and I will INCLUDE the hard top. If it is not sold by this weekend, i am taking Paul's advice (getting off my ass) and parting it out.

LAST CHANCE!
