Where is the best place to drive into montreal to grab the subway to cgv?

Back in the day we always parked at Alexis Nihon Plaza, corner of Atwater and St Catherine,across
the street from the Forum. There's a subway station on the lower level. Take the green line to the
yellow line and get off at Ile St Helene.

I'd agree with that. Alexis Nihon is relatively easy to reach from the west even if the Aut. Ville Marie access is closed. It's indoor with less chance of street parking bumper damage and it should be easier to get a spot on race day than stations downtown or by the old port. They'll want to take the Metro in the direction of Honoré-Beaugrand and transfer to the Yellow Line at Berri-UQAM. The circuit is the first stop on the yellow, Jean-Drapeau.

I've often parked at the Place Bell (or whatever the arena is called these days) or across the river on the South Shore and the Dauphin Hotel when staying overnight. South shore has outside parking as well and is only one metro stop to the island.
