If they did show up then they would be allowed to use other "Extreme Performance" tires.

Good enough. So what is the definition of "Extreme Performance" tires for our rules? There's a couple of random tires that fit similar criteria, but aren't on the list, such as the Toyo R1R, Federal 595RS-R, Yokohama AD08.

I definately agree that despite the fact that SP600s are definately not as good as the Star Specs despite the fact they're both 200 treadwear tires listed as "Extreme Performance" tires. I'm just trying to figure out where the line is, so I can plan my tire purchases accordingly :)

Similarly for my Tesla Roadster, there are two stock tire options - Yoko AD07 or A048. I believe the Roadster is B+7.

Does this mean I can put A048 on the car without penalty, and remain in B class?

generally the rule refers to mainly those tires which were designed for autoX street tire classes, falken azenis, hankook rs2 or rs3, starspecs, re01s, re11s, r1r, etc. There may be a few outside of 'the list' that also qualify but I'll leave that for bruce to decide... I've heard the sumitomo hrz3 is supposedly close to rs3s in dry conditions, but they're not considered as an autoX tire as far as I know.

Friend of mine asked if he could bring out his old 93 Mazda B2200 truck - is that okay, and what class would he be in?

Assuming that it is not jacked up, it would be fine. Stock, it would be in E class. Modified, I would need to see it.

Sounds good. It's unmodified, so E-Class it is.

I have a 2002 Subaru WRX Wagon, it's shocks have been replaced with KYB GR-2. Are these considered performance shocks +2, or OEM ?

I have a Honda Del Sol with a B16A engine swap. That swap took my Del Sol from a old Si standard to the new Si standard. I do not understand why I have to add 7 points. What is the different if I were to use a JDM Honda del Sol Si (which I believe should be E+0 according to the classification guide) vs mine? Both has the exact same engine, but one is E+0 and mine is E+7?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_B_engine

Please shed some light. Should I be E+0 instead? Thanks.

What model Del Sol was available in Canada with a B16A engine? If this is a Canadian Model then it came with a D16Z6 engine and not a B16A. The JDM del sol came with B16A engine. The rules do not allow you to update/backdate like this.

According to Wiki (probably not the best source to quote :) ), there was a refresh in North America in 1995 which they sold it as DelSol VTECH, using the B16A3 engine. This is what is said on the Website:

"Changes For 1995:
Civic tag dropped from US del Sol name. Model is now called del Sol (USA)
del Sol tag dropped from European CR-X del-sol name. Model is now called CRX (Europe)
VXi Was only available in Japan as a 1.5 single cam vtec VGi is the Japanese version of the European ESi 1.6 single cam vtec
Added B16a3 engine (DOHC VTEC) 160 hp (119 kW) 118 lb·ft (160 N·m) (US)"

I thought that is what the 2012 Base Car Classing referred to as Delsol VTECH:
"Honda Civic del Sol S & Si ('94-'97), Civic del Sol VTEC, Fit E"

Sorry if I am confused.
