Summer GTR2/ rfactor series.

My league is talking about and probably will have a summer GTR2 fun series. Between both leagues we could get some pretty big fields. I'll keep you posted.

I'd love to join in but as of now GTR2 won't run on my new PC and my old one is too slow. Vista X64 issue. If I can eventually get it resolved I'd like to join in. In the meantime, GTR Evo FTW.
Pat, you should really talk to these guys about at least looking into Evo - it's GTR2 with more cars and better online support.

GPL Regulars summer series program

Gents, this summer we’re proposing a buffet of things we might consider for the fall. For tracks we decided KISS (keep it simple stupid) was best, no point learning new tracks AND mods when it’s nice outside.
For Rfactor we’re suggesting the Caterham (Lotus 7) mod, probably one of the most underrated mods out there, along with NAGT (SCCA/SpeedTV GT cars). We’re also proposing GTR2 Miatas (Pat’s right they are great fun) and, for those of us who can remember when cars had bodies AND frames, the Power & Glory 2.1 mod for GTR2.

PnG 2.1 requires GTR2 of course (it installs a 2nd copy of GTR2), a 1.2gig download (4 files) along with the GT Legends install CD (it does not install GTL), GTL is often bundled with GTR2 but if that’s a problem that would prevent you from running speak up (assuming you were in the sporadic attendee or have-no-life categories to begin with)

Tentative schedule is:

May-14 IRL/CART @ indy? Or P2 @ lemans?
May-21 TR3s tour the Alps Leinz 24hr Gil’s TR3 mod
May-28 Brits & Germans @ MonteCarlo Monaco '79 Gil’s 300SL & Jag Roadsters mod

This is the best I could do with the league. Everyone has GTR2 and are quite happy with it but nonetheless, there are some great RFactor and car mods scheduled for a whole summer of racing. All the server and admin work is dome so anyone from MCO that wants to drop into some great racing please do so.
I can email anyone the server password on a PM request.

Great work Pat. I know Rfactor will work over here and I'll have another go at GTR2. Since I don't have to host there's less issues to worry about. I really want to get involved in the Spec Miatas - they are fun.
Andre should be happy - he's a big proponent of the Power and Glory mod.
