Gasoline: 94 Octane available in town. What are the odds they'll run out?

Lunch & Refreshments at the Track: Cafe at Bogie operational

Car storage: Cars/Trucks/Trailers can stay overnight for those there the whole w/e.

Anything else other newbs such as moi want to know?

Sunscreen? We'll have to put a "for the melanin-impaired" caveat on that. :)

Going to rain a bit. I'm not nervous about it.

Don't forget your helmet.

:nono: Everyone can get a Sunburn
- a SunTan however may be a different story

Torque wrench to check those lugs !!!
( there nothing we can do for the loose ones behind the wheel )

I have observed shredded tires on certain cars in the past.
shredded - the last vestiges of rubber peeling off, exposing cord !

You must ensure your car is *safe* - issues with your equipment can endanger you and others at the track.
This is not the place to get one last run out of your tires before you buy a new set !
Wha't d'ya mean you "Can't get there from here!"

Weathernetwork was calling for torrential rain yesterday now it's only a little bit on Saturday and a wee bit more on Sunday. Accuweather says only a wee bit on Saturday.

Change of clothes. No matter what the weather, I always bring a set of spare shoes, socks, and clothes so I can change after the day is over. You never know what's in store, crawling around on the ground under your car to fix something so you can finish your school, tighten a loose muffler bearing, or whatever... and after it rains in the paddock, and you've been walking around in your Pumas and have wet feet - a dry pair of socks and shoes at the end of the long day sometimes feels stepping fresh out of a nice shower it feels so good.

For the folks who'll be there for 3 days, I certainly hope you're all bringing fresh clothes. Or else bring out the automotive air fresheners. :)

No shower or change of clothes for me, you'll have to stand it. I'll just put 2 pine car freshners in my shoes, ok? :P

Something to provide shade or a dry place. A really big umbrella or a small EZ-Up canopy. Makes a HUGE difference if it is raining/sunny. Several bottles of water. Sunscreen for sure, it can be overcast and still have the chance for crazy sunburns. Don't want to feel like absolute crap on the second day.

I've been to SMP three times. Why is this first outing to CMP making me so much more nervous?

Just got the expectation jitters meethinks.

There are a lot of nuances to the track, which gives a bunch of lines and go fast strategies. That's what makes it fun. If we are in different run groups we can do ride alongs to get familarized with the track. Gives me to opportunity to play with the new Chatterbox intercom too.

It's tough for some of those meeotter guys to bring an EZ-up in the boot. Though, if they had a tire trailer setup, I bet it wouldn't be hard to do.

Hey! Was that a dig? There's a lot of us you know? :)

No trailer here. I know I'll need one at some point, but no room to store it. Besides, I'm getting creative with packing and my friends help carry stuff, too.
