We inverted the grid last time, and it led to a few issues, mind you we only had 4 cars and the pace between first and last was large. So we are still looking at inverted grids, but maybe only the top few drivers. and we may look at rather than have a qualifying, just have a practice, and then have gridding done by lottery... can end up any where that way.

As the pioneers for this series we can really influence the direction is goes, so let's hear some suggestions... ESPECIALLY after the race once everyone has been through the process once.

I'm with you ... it'll be nice to keep this format going. It's always going to be challenging to equalize performance. Maybe inverted grids, or staggered starts(but that get's rid of that rolling start).

Although one would think the larger the field the harder it would veto "win" with an inverted grid. Ie: if the guy at the front is only running 5s a lap slower than the guy at the back he would never catch him. It does sound like a lot more fun the just getting pole then driving off and never seeing another car again.

Unless of course your name is Vettel ...

I looked at the times last time and was trying to see how that would work, was thinking that technically with th le reverse grid you should be able to finish one second and still win if total race time counted, but the distance between the two cars would be about the length of the straight ... Make sense?

Either way it should be fun, when lapping you rarely get close enough to battle with anyone. The few times I have I have always come off the track with a gigantic smile!

Really enjoyed the inverted grid last event and in the cup events. It's a fun challenge when you're fast and when you're slow, experienced both!

-should run timing during the practice/qualifier, to at least find out if every ones transponder is working.

speaking of which, are transponders free this time?

Are they obligatory and how much if not included?

It was free the first event, but cup race weekend it was 20$rental for a transponder. Totally required.

I guess we should get our own sooner or later.

I think we may have another casualty for Thursday, Mani's car is looking rather sad and in pieces in my driveway but I'll let him confirm.

You know how frustrated I am Erwan, and there is no way the parts can be machined in one day since most machine shops already have lots of work to do. I sent Matt an email asking to be excused from this event, and have my entry moved to the next one. I hope he understands my situation and I am not out of $250.

Also thanks for your help, I really appreciate it. Plus you get a free live reality show in front of you, everytime I touch the car, some parts guy has to ruin everything :(

It drove, but the caliper brackets have bent for some reason and that bent the caliper mounts on the spindle. It is most likely because of an improperly aligned caliper. I had or I thought I had everything to swap all the items, so when you saw me I was heading to Erwan's with the car to change everythign over. I had new spindle assembly (knuckle, hub and bearings), caliper brackets, rotors, pads etc... It turns out that they sent me the caliper brackets off their 12" brake kit and not the 13" kit.

The car isn't safe to drive with the bent spindles either, they are cast iron pieces, cast iron usually doesn't like to bend and it'll just snap, I am surprised and quite lucky that they help up like that

Yeah, hopefuly Matt can move my entry to the next one.

I am still going to try to get the car done for Thursday, even though I am quite an optimistic person, I doubt that it'll be done. And with stuff like this, you don't want to rush anything.

I really enjoyed marshalling for you guys! I was on corner 14. I know Klaus recognized me, don't know if Greg did.

Congrats to Klaus, the only name I knew in the top three.

The event looked like sooooo much fun. :drivin:
