Something around 205-55x 14" and NOT All Season. Don't want "R" compounds either. Just Qty 4 summer performance tires.

Business is good , yes ! But the size you are looking for exists only in R compounds as far as I remember. Thats why you have no answers.
195 60 14 is the best you will find, and that is from Falken RT615K.

Hmm - Don - you could try Ralph @ Canadian Tire on Carling - 613.725.3111 - then follow the prompts for automotive service.

They do LOTS of tire sales and might be able to find you something.

also another good option is hankook Ventus R-S3 , size 225/45/15 Great size. If not next is 195/60/15 falken rt615k .

other than that, its R's and $$$$

It looks like I'll go with Sumitomo HTR 200 in 195-60r 14 from The Tire Rack. I can get them installed on the way to/fro Watkins Glen and avoid duty. Tire Rack have an "approved installer" in Ogdensburg and they will receive the tires direct from Tire rack with no receiving fee (still have to pay shipping) These tires got a good/reasonable review from Classic Motorsports magazine back a while ago & at <$60 each are a bargoon.

thats great. I was going to do that with some falken rt 615s, as I also need 195/60/14s .

tell me how it goes , and total cost. Might drive down there and get a set of tires also.

Im waiting for spring, hopefully talon tire will have a special on tires, have always had great experience with them.


but while doing that trip, why not pick up something a little more aggressive, as it will only cost you $ 50-80 more for the full set .
