over all time attack results! http://www.mylaps.com/results/showrun.jsp?id=2467224

2;17.350. so awesome. Good group of people, good drivers too, They thought I was a newb, several people kept telling me to go get sound check. lol ok.

Only a few people would say hi to me until the first round of results were posted, then I was everyone's best buddy.
I think I was the only guy from Ontario. Too bad, they run a good event, you guys would do well here in any class. They class power to weight.
All passing is point-bys only, and anywhere, apex, corner etc. Worked really well. They did line up cars fastest to slowest too, so it's not like we had to pass much. They even have a shoot out at the end of the day, but I skipped that to get ready for the GT race the same evening.

Ran the michelins for the FTD, but also ran the Hoosiers, at 15c, hoosiers were a second slower.

Michel, car #1, ran the race car audi in the class above me. TA0. He was the only car in his class, I was the only car in my class, TA1.

He's usually the fastest car out there, so after he saw my times he asked how to drive the track. He said he'd been there only twice before.
So I gave him my run down, basically scott maxwells write up. Then we agreed to have him follow me in the next session.
He was on my bumper for two laps, marshals doing their best blue flag wave, but he wanted to chase. Let him go and he got his best of 2;17.6

I'd do this again. maybe not the same day as a GT race, but none the less all good. It let me try out the newused tires. Time attacks at Bogie are great. Thanks again Gilles and crew.

Hey, thanks Greg for being there, especially that you ran the evening event. long day for you. Well...you were able to run a dry race and a wet race in the same day. Congrats on your FTD.

Hope to be back next year, always depends if they have days available after they book all their series and large customers...we small fry always have to wait later in the year (sometimes even beginning of the next) to be confirmed, so we don't always get our prefered date...

Thanks again and see you soon,

Gilles

PS. Nice pics. I'll check the vid when it's ready.

Thank you very much Greg for the time you took to show me your lines around the track... It was much needed and the turning point in getting some faster times.

I'm still far from being comfortable at the track (maybe the cool and rainy weather didn't help) and with more seat time at Calabogie I know I could be a lot faster.

Thanks for posting the videos, they are great!

BTW, did you race in that heavy rain on Friday night? How did you do?

I'll echo Greg's comment... We are a good bunch of guys, really!

I guess a lot of the guys in the club were a bit in their own world at being here at Calabogie (big/fast track) some for the first time.

Heck I didn't even know Greg or that anyone from the MCO was at our event.

Having done autoslalom for many years in the past with the CADL I know some of the folks from the MCO from competing against them... Great bunch too.

Cheers,

Mike

we sure did. I finished 4th, and it was enough to win the GT1 championship. So it was a pretty good day. :D

there are more details on that in here. viewtopic.php?f=6&t=13750&start=50

I wanted to attend but I could not I overspent my racing budget - too many things broke on the CRX this season. I hope Time and Track has another couple of events at Calabogie and Shannonville next season. Congrats to Greg on FTD.
