The Car Zero Report -- a very appropriate rally

Keeping in the Presidential theme...
As I mentioned at the end of the previous Car Zero Report -- life is strange. And now this. How can a Canadian comment humorously on the election result? (build a wall! They're coming to Canada!) Our friends to the south had a tough choice to make -- let's hope they did the right thing. That's enough with the politics -- there's still lots of rally stuff going on up here.

This weekend, November 12, is PMSC's President's Prize Rally. This year's route runs out of Havelock, east of Peterborough, with the start and finish at the Station Restaurant, right on Hwy 7. Registration opens at 10, with the first car away at 11:31. Full details at the link.

You should do the odometer check on the way in to Havelock.

Tall Pines in 2 weeks!
The start order has been set, the route books have been printed, just about everything is set for another great Tall Pines rally. There's still a need for a bunch more volunteers. And there's still space in the VIP program.

Don't forget Northern Lights on December 3, running out of Tillsonburg.

The Return of January Jaunt
Toronto Autosport Club is reviving January Jaunt, a favourite of nav ralliests for many years. Kurt Seelenmayer and Nick Parry will be setting this up, using the same start location (Royal Coachman, Waterdown) and the same date (first Saturday of the year -- January 7). It is apparently the 60th anniversary of the rally!

Ok, that's neat!
A web page that explains by use of simple animations the inner workings of internal combustion, steam, and other types of engines. Now I know how a steam engine works! (

That's it. Time to concentrate on Tall Pines preparations. Hopefully we'll see a lot of you there.
