New Time Attack club in Montreal

Here is a transcript of the announcement made today of a new Time attack club in Montreal. If your appetite for tracks days is so large that even the MCO lapping days leave you wanting more seat time, come and try Time Attack with us. Not only will you get more seat time, but you will also get timed laps...

A new Time Attack organisation is born in the Montreal region.

Montreal, Friday, February 11, 2011

Following the decision by Club Auto-sport des Laurentides (CADL) not to carry over their Time Attack branch in 2011, a group of enthusiasts from the club has set up a new organisation to continue promoting the sport.

Track and Time, a not-for-profit organisation, is thus born. A modest calendar of events has been worked out for its first year of operation. It will be comprised of a minimum of three Time Attack events counting towards the T&T Time Attack Championship. Negotiations are under way for a possible fourth event, and this would be announced later if successful. At this point, here is the calendar for the 2011 season:

May 7, 2011: Lapping – invitation from SCLC
May 14 and 15, 2011: Time Attack and Road Course school – invitation from CADL
June 18, 2011: Event #1 of the T&T Championship at Autodrome St-Eustache
July 17, 2011: Event #2 of the T&T Championship at Sanair
September 24, 2011: Event #3 of the T&T Championship at iCAR

The website is still under construction and will be completed by the end of February. The calendar, the rules, the license details, the results, the registrations and payment to events will then be available online. Make sure to join us at http://www.trackandtime.ca.

There are no membership fees at Track and Time. Put up the T&T sticker on your car and there you are!

Hey Gilles, schedule question.

June 18th, you have listed a ASE Time attack at ste eustache, is that separate from ASE's other events?

I think reading failed me, it must be.

This is not an ASE Lapping club event. This is a Track and Time Time Attack event, part of a three event championship (St-Eustache, Sanair and ICAR).
