Jeannie, any idea why there was no blue flags for 3 laps? Klaus was on the bumper of the Porsche for the first 3 or 4 laps and he was holding us up big time. I started honking at the marshals LOL, I can hear it in my video, then he started getting flags LOL

I noticed on lap 2 that Klaus still hadn't got by, and at that point the organizer (I guess he was) said he wanted to see blue flags used aggressively. So when I saw them in the same formation next time, I waved blue and Klaus got by.

Afterwards, some of the other marshals said they were waving blue but nothing was changing. It could've been the angle of the light -- don't know. But corner 14 is ideal for blue-flagging because the driver's eyes are on the marshalling station automatically (can't say the same for corner 10, in my experience as a driver at the recent MCO lapping day). After that, I was ready to go with the blue flags but everyone seemed to be pointing by once that initial log-jam was broken up.

This was a learning experience for me -- next time, if I saw the cars in the same formation on lap 2, the blue would've been out for the lead car.

Yeah when they came out they worked. Thanks for doing that or we would have been behind him all race

Marshalls did their job after lap 2 no question, the guy saw the blue flags he just ignored them!

I saw the big wave too.

Yeah, the Caymen was blue-flagged for several laps. I'm not sure whose call it would have been, but as per the driver's meeting, he should have been black flagged. I started 5th, so I watched Klaus finally get by, then James, then Fritz and got by myself, but we were so spread out by then that I had no chance of catching James. I kept hoping he'd get tied up with someone, or start battling with Klaus, but I had no chance. Must get faster, must get faster...

Crap...that looked like a lot of fun.
I wish my Miata was fast enough to run with you guys. Maybe they need a GT-slow race too.

Stadium track is a great equalizer, I'm pretty much mid pack, and my best is 2:29 on full track. I bet you'd be in the mix with the miata.

They're already talking about two classes based on times. More cars means more growth.

Yeah for sure, power was not really much of an advantage except maybe though 9-11 but even then because I was coming in so fast into 10 I over braked.

Competition was awesome last night, I've never driven so hard there man so fun, the car was dancing around!

I can't wait to get out there on the 11th!!

Karma - you should definitely come out with the miata. Like greg said, with enough people we will be breaking into two classes anyway! This is a must do event!!

6 already in for the race on the 11th!

Wing, I have a question for you, although it might be better in the Tech forum, but -- I've never heard a wing make the sound that yours does. When you went uphill onto the ridge from 14 to 15, the airflow was disrupted so much it made almost a wailing sound (and actually hurt my ears).

I would really like to know what was happening there -- more than just downforce, for sure!

I'm sure that was my exhaust not the wing, my car is supercharged. But if it is the wing that is FREAKIN' cool but I have no idea, I just bought a cheap wing, bolted it onto a trunk and put some angle on it.

I find it helps in the high speed stuff for sure, the car feels planted, maybe that's my reason for understeer, maybe I should reduce the angle of attack :P.
