I had a blast. Thanks to the organizers for putting this together, and to Rob for being an *exceptional* instructor. I'll be at the next lapping event without question. I learned more on Monday than in the rest of my "career" combined.

Here's my video of the last session - chasing down Klaus and then Norm (until my battery died)

I stopped braking for the Kink and for 4Left, and I also got my fastest Rocky Road speed - around 205km/h :drivin:

Here's my somewhat more sedate video in the gentleman racer. The passenger didn't really slow me down, as they were mostly full of hot air (wuv u Jeff ;) )

http://youtu.be/G2FgwoQ_poI

Rocky road speed was... somewhat less than 205, but the car was just so much fun from temptation to hook and spoon to wilsons. It just MUNCHED car lengths on almost everything (well, almost everything in the rookie group) from 10 to 13. Then they left me for dead out of hook...

Still, very happy with it and most of my Subaru specific bad habits were erased.

Looks good Barry! Your car is so quiet ;).

Not sure if it's the camera angle, but it looks like you're sitting quite far from the steering wheel - maybe a couple inches closer would give you a bit more reach?

303 Imaging photographer was out on the track on Monday and got some great shots.
When I was at CMP last night I picked up a DVD with over 80 pics on it. They're not on the 303imaging.com website as far as I know but if you contact them with the date/car number/description you can get the pics.

Its just a lapping day, not the championship of the world. If someone is not seeing you just roll through pit lane and make some space. It's not that hard to do. You guys had your say at the track.

I thought I saw a couple of times where Marc didn't get the point in his video yet passed anyway. There were only two points where you could have passed Pat and if he was testing you well that makes scene. Marc you do seem pretty arrogant to be posting such a pissed off video and post because you couldn't pass on one lap....as other said take pit lane, did that once with Bruce and it was a good idea, gets everyone ahead of you.

Wing - what where you driving out there? Off topic - Hows the X1? I swear everyone in my neighborhood has bought one, think there pretty dumb myself.

I kindly ask that everyone just take this somewhere else. This type of discussion might be tolerated on other, less civil forums, but here we treat each other with respect. Respect enough to address any problems and concerns offline.

As President of MCO, I am a good point of contact for any issues related to the club.

Sincerely,

Ouf... I wish that you will let me give my version of differents thing.

1. point by respect; I did not respect only not point by during the day. On the video it is many times difficult to see by the camera angle. please trust me on that. The only time I did not respect the point by, the driver hit the brake on straight line, it was weird. I should hit brake me too, I did not, sorry.

2: Subaru crash: it is bad if the driver feel that I put pressure. it was the first lap, I was on R6, the pavement was cold with some humidity spot on it, for me it was not question to drive fast on that lap. 2 3 curves before the accident, the Subaru gave me a point by, I did not accepted it since it was the first lap and I wqs scary to drive fast on that condition R6 on wet surface. I was at maybe 6 to 8 lenght of the Subaru when he lost control, which is very bad. It was no pressure, plus on advanced group driver, I suppose that everyone must know their speed cruise. The error he did was trying to take the car back on the usual line shown by typical instructor (I don t know if this line is the one shown by MCO instructor), forcing the cqr is go left and not straight to take the next curve interior instead than exterior. This line is very different than the line taken by Shawn. I feel bad thinking that people think that I caused that accident.

But I think I am just burned now, sorry again...

Please do not remove that answer from this page.

Sincerely, Marc

To Marc in the Elise. I have not watched all of your video, but you seem pretty annoyed that you can't hit your target times each lap and that you are forced to run with slower cars and must pass them. It sucks to be you. You need to grow up and show respect for the other people on the track. This is not racing, it is lapping. You passed me twice during the day with no point by. Other times you got a point by. In the video you passed someone on the left side between 14 and 15 because you pushed them essentially off the track. The pass should have been on the right side. On a few occasions in your video you carried off a double pass. I can only assume that you did not receive a point by by at least one of the people. If you don't want to run with slow cars, rent the track yourself and go as fast as you want.

Adam, it was very nice to instruct you for this event. You made excellent progress during the day and were always able to follow advice and try different things. I hope to see you back at events in the coming years.

Great time as mentioned, great fun - looking forward to next year's events!
Thanks again all who made it happen.

Yup - tire smoke.... had a bit of lockup at the end of rocky road

Generally going through Big rock i see that - my inside front lifts and since i left-foot brake through it, it smokes when it touches again

Your lines are great, turn in a little too soon on some corners. I need to learn video editing. Yours is well done.

It was smoking for a considerable distance the 1 lap I followed you around Big Rock. I don't know if I have it on video or not.
