GFORCE Reweb Program

Postby andregt6 » Thu Dec 29, 2011 11:55 pm

So my belts are now out of date.

I have the 5 point camlocks setup.
http://www.gforce.com/products/harness/7000.php
$165 US or less depending on dealers.

http://www.gforce.com/programs/reweb.php
The reweb program is $110US plus shipping both ways.

I'm thinking its simply easer and cheaper to buy a new set of belts.
Keep the 2nd for track day stuff or is that an issue?

Mine are nearly out of date too - tho just a lapping car.

I investigated rewebbing vs new - and decided to just go with new belts - I'd like to more up to a 5 or 6 pt system from the 4 anyway.

FYI a little cheaper at JEGS - not sure where else you could get them

Try Leaf Raceware, I think they do re-webbing. http://www.leafdrivingsuits.com/

No Limits brought this set of G-Force belts in.

I did ask Leaf if they would do someone else's hardware and they declined siting rules prevent it.

Now their belts are 250, but webbing is only 80.

So its a question over 10 years which would be cheaper ;0

Buy FIA belts, not SFI. They're good for 5 years. Schroth has a new clubman line that's about the same price as the G-Force, but is FIA. Also 6 point ... much better on the ol' crotch!

My G-force we're FIA, but only 5 point.

Are the new ones as well? ... I could confirm before you invest cash (their site only says SFI spec).

I would recommend getting GOOD belts. I will never buy cheap belts again. The Schroth Enduro belts I have are the most fantastic belts I have ever used. Schroth may be pricey, but they are FIA, and have the most fantastic mechanisims I have seen. My Sparco Circuit seat has to be one of the smallest seats on the market for my skinny arse, and I found it near impossible to do up my Leaf belts. The new belts are a breeze to do up by myself, and the release mechanisim is fantastic - hence why they call it the Enduro belt - they know you're going to be changing drivers. It has little loops in it for hooking up the stretchy tubing to hold the belts out of the way and all.

I am in no way affiliated with Schroth, any of their vendors, nor an advertiser for them. They just make a fantastic product that works.

Thanks for the offer, but I prefer the camlock systems.

Like mentioned above, SFI belts are the way to go. Best bang for the buck and some are as cheap as $200.

But as you get more experience in the sport, you realize that cheaping out on belts makes no sense, and the higher end ones are the way to go.

Perry Performance carries 4 brands and about 30 different belts in stock.
