For registration and all information to classify the car, go to http://www.casc.on.ca/timeattack

If you have done all your membership and classification stuff, all you need is fill out the registration form: http://www.casc.on.ca/sites/default/files/2012_time_attack_form_regular_seasonr1.pdf

and send it to the registrar: ontariotimeattack@gmail.com (with payment)

There will be instructors available for novices , lapping all morning to test & tune the car or learn the track, competition starts after lunch.

By the way, Friday, May 25th is that "famous" FRANKS Lapping day at the big track. I know there are a few people from Ottawa going to this event, hopefully I see them on the weekend for the competition too. If you nedd help with registering, just ask me. Event # 1 & 2 are in the bag, nice weather on both days and a lot of new drivers out. Almost 100 drivers over the two days.

I like driving the Mosport DDT track as it is pretty technical, yet it is fast and depending on layout requires guts to have glory.
We did a CCW layout on both days with the single kink on the west side on Saturday and no kink on Sunday ... (think of about the same speed as turn 1 at CMP, but to the right followed right after by a sharp left with a steep downhill aproach). The trick is to stay on the throttle just to the crest and then hope for some miracle to slow the car enough into the left ... most drivers brake before the crest ...

There were four drivers from Ottawa at this event and on Saturday (Event # 1). Wayne Mercer in T3 was third, Pierre Lefebvre in T1 was second and in GT1, Geoff Chislet came in 4th and I came in second place. We all run on Street tires and for me it is the first time to do any competition on Streets and it is ... interesting. (need some adjustments on the nut behind the wheel)

On Sunday I did a rain dance but it did not work. My three year old Hancook did not give me any confidence to push harder so I mounted Toyo R1R that I used the past two years as rain tires and figured they would be at least as good as the RS3, even in the dry. The car felt better and we all had similar results. Wayne was third in T3, Pierre won the T1 Class and Geoff finished thrid and I was second again in GT1.
Overall, MCO is presenting well.

I hope to see more MCO drivers out at our next event in Shannonville in less than two weeks
