Glad to have more guys in E! Welcome to the party!

The QR25DE in the SE-R looks sick, you have no shortage of power/torque that's for sure!! If you're interested, come see me first thing in the morning and I'll show you a couple newbie tricks to start you on the right track. That goes for any new guys, preferrably during the morning, if I have the time I don't mind. Just come say hi anyway!

Damn... and I thought my car was heavy for a 4 cylinder

If you're not having fun you're doing it wrong anyway, that's the most important thing!

After WR I'm clocking in at 2950'ish lbs.

Mike, I know all about the XRS ;). I was going to buy a used one before I snagged the Spec but 20 000+ for a four year old car was not winning the wallet friendly award. Have you raised the rev-limiter on your 2ZZ yet?

At least we'll have good competition for E Class. I am curious to see what an Accord can do against a Matrix. ;)

$20k? What a rip off! That's almost the price of brand new with no warranty and crap financing! I paid 8k+tax for my 06 with 108,000km on it last August. It sat at a small used dealership for over a month and I was able to knock the guy down to his cost just to clear the lot! I love that story, great success...

qr25de wrote:Have you raised the rev-limiter on your 2ZZ yet?

Nope, unfortunately not. My lift point is also a blah 6800rpm (vs 6200 on the 03-04 XRS), optimum lift point is between 5500-5700rpm with a proper tune... Engine management isn't cheap for the 2ZZ but it sure would be sweet! The 2ZZ tuner gods live in Michigan so not impossibly far. Apparently VVTi is tough to tune and I'm told that NOBODY can do it like Monkey Wrench Racing!!

The weather is all over the place for Sunday. Some say almost no rain, some say rain, some say come and race and spank some Quebecer :poke:

They told about rain (less than 1mm) am and (1-3mm) pm.

Im sure that will be a great event. (always fun inter-provincial form)

How many drivers will we expect? 70-80?

I had an awesome day for my first time doing autoX. The rolling lunch was great. With 75 competitors and 9 runs, we should do the BBQ every weekend, definately saves time and maximizes fun

Fixed... 86 x 9 = 774 + rerun = ~800 runs. That's a lot of run, lots of work for the timing team. They did an amazing job.

Thanks guys for the great event. Organisers and competitors of the MCO are very well organized. Everybody do what they can to ensure everything go smo0th. 80+ people, 9 runs = WOW!!

It was nice to see new drivers and different kind of track.

It was not fun to let my car parked for the last 6 runs but I had some issues with an engine mount. :( Ottawa is far from Quebec and it would have been very complicated if the engine mount broke during the day.

See you next time end of august at the Nationnals!!

I know, but fixing bringing the car to your garage, after the meeting at the restaurant, fixing this... I was home at 11h30pm... Imagine :o I would have been home this afternoon ;)

Thanks to all for an incredible day and congratulations to you for winning the IPC challenge.

Those apreciation gifts to involved volunteers are well deserved. Organizing these events is a lot of work but at least the cooperation of the participants makes it much easier.

Thanks,
