Gumpert

Postby andregt6 » Sat Apr 04, 2009 7:04 am

The manufacturers Gumpert claim that the car could drive upside-down in a tunnel if driven at sufficiently high speeds (over 190mph),[3] though this remains to be tested.[4]

That explains EVERYTHING.

BTW memo to management, no more Captain Morgan when one has to get up early....

They tested it on Top Gear. They described it as ugly, raucious, crude, no frills cheap, stupid name and.......the fastest most insane car to ever hit the street and track. It was hilarious.

I agree with the Top Gear assessment - fast and insane for sure. I certainly "hit the track" at Monza in the Gumpert on Friday....
and the armco
and the grass
and the beach
and the concrete walls
and the ambulance...

Ultimate Setup Challenge for Pat:
1)Throw a setup on this car that will make it less insane to drive at Monza.
2) Share the setup with everyone for next Friday's races.
3) If everyone can run an 8 lap race without putting their fists through their computer screens and quitting sim racing forever then you are the official MCO Setup King.
PLEASE NOTE - 'everyone' includes Blackcloud :o

The gauntlet has been thrown down Pat - this will be your greatest challenge ever - that car is frikken possessed.

That's great Andre. The Nord is certainly a resource hog.
I was thinking for this weekend having a FAST theme with Gumpert level cars at Monza for the sprints, and unlimited cars at Nordshleiffe.

I hit the ambulance a few times myself. If that ambulance driver has any sense of self-preservation, he had better find a better parking spot!

I think you are being too kind in your assessment of this retarded car.
I see 2 possible scenarios:
1. Mr. Gumpert is a complete lunatic, satan worshipper, and knows nothing about cars.
2. Gumpert slept with the gamedesigners wife and GTR is out to discredit him.

LOL Pete. Wouldn't it be great if his first name was Forrest.
Perhaps we had better just go fast GT style cars for Monza...the car is crap and so setup Pat throws at it is going to change that.

Can't make it tonight. Working on Ted Powell race weekend poster and website. Hope I don't have to bless a bunch of Gumpert coffins. Go in peace my children
Last night I raced Toyota Atlantics at St. Jovite. Insane cars on a mental track......it was a total hoot.
