When I checked their site, it said helmets were recommended. why?

Not as of last Sunday. I'd estimate 1/3 to 1/2 of drivers were w/o helmets.

I'm uploading video of my last session (45+ minutes) with them from Sunday. I'm comfortable running with them but I wouldn't recommend the group for novices. The event was much less structured than the MR event earlier in the day.

Thanks for the tip. I'll check out the video Jeff. What were the root of the issues? Not enough direction to drivers, no enough monitoring of car count on track? People running too hard too long?

The kplayground event was organized much more loosely than the MR event and the experience / skill of the drivers was all over the place making it difficult to predict what the other cars were about to do. Passing is on the straights at the passer's discretion and in the corners with a signal. There were also many offs, cars stopped on track, etc.

I went and had a blast. Pretty loose organization as mentioned, but didn't feel at risk at all.

I had a real blast, shaving about 5 seconds off my October 18th times.
