Who is Ted Powell?

Ted Powell is a former Canadian national race champion. He lived in Ottawa and dominated Trans-Am racing across Canada in the "Under 2-litre" class racing Mini-Coopers. The Motorsport Club of Ottawa named its lifetime achievement award after Ted.  When he retired from racing, he gave back to the sport tirelessly as a race marshal (flagger), instructor and senior racing official. He also served without compensation as a Vice-President of the Canadian Automobile Sport Club -- then Canada's national governing body for motorsport.
