The Club’s ability to offer you the opportunity to participate in events that interest you depends on your telling us about your interests and keeping those interests up-to-date.
Helping us understand your interests is easy and this page explains how to ensure we know what gets your motor running.
If you’ve recently indicated your interests in Karelo, please complete these steps as well. Karelo will soon cease to capture this information.
Step 1: Create a MotorsportsReg.com account
MSR is the Club’s new platform for virtually all event registrations. In fact, the only exceptions are Winter Driving Schools and the annual awards banquet, both of which remain in Karelo.
If don’t have an MSR account, setting one up is easy and free. Just head over to www.motorsportsreg.com and click on Create Account. Complete that process and then proceed to Step 2.
Sign In and Create Account Liks on MotorSportsReg.com
Of course, if you already have an account, just Sign-In and proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Adding MCO to Your Profile
Once you’re signed-in, you should see something that looks like this at the top of the window:
Post Sign-In
At this point, click on “My Account”.
My Account
Now, click on “Edit My Information” in the grey bubble.
On the next page, find the Section entitled, “Club Memberships.” If you see MCO in this list already, then skip to Step 4 below.
If don’t see MCO here click on “+ Add Club” in the grey bubble.
Add Membership Button
You’ll now be confronted with a list of clubs. Scan down the alphabetical list to find MCO.
Click Add beside MCO
Click “add” beside Motorsport Club of Ottawa. Be sure to IGNORE the Autocross item that says “No Longer in Use”.
Step 3: Indicate Your Interests
You’ll now see the following screen:
MCO Details & Interests
The first field is your membership number. Remember, you can log-in to Karelo to look that up or check your membership card.
The list of check boxes is where you indicate your interests. Check those areas where you have an interest. For example, if you have an interest in competing in a rally and helping-out at an ice race, you would check “Rally Competitor” and “Ice Racing Worker”. Please be as accurate as possible as the data you enter will be used to inform the Club’s decisions.
When you’re done, click on the “Save Membership Button”. If you need to change anything, you can click “edit” on the next screen.
Step 4: Completing Your MSR Profile
Before you sign-out, we would recommend you click on “My Account”
Post Sign-In
and “Edit My Information” in the grey bubble.
My Account
Now, you can do the following:
- Add Emergency Contact Information
- Add your cars to your Garage — this is important for Autocrossers and Lappers
- Add details on your driving experience
Step 5: Updating Your MSR Profile
You can update your interests, garage, information, etc anytime. Just log-in, go to My Account and edit the relevant sections.
